December: Acceptance

December’s principle function is Permanence.

The keyword "Permanence" refers to the way Phase 12 has finished a growth cycle, adding a new feature in your development. This permanent addition becomes useful in the next cycle of twelve phases. As December transitions to January, this new feature brings a new arrangement that makes use of your added strength and insight.

If you review your development over several years, or from an unexpected turn in your life, the phases show the straight line of positive progress that you may not be aware of. We are distracted by life in the external while your heart's mind chooses from those events what will add to your development as an individual.

Becoming aware of the steady positive development of yourself, apart from others, strengthens your understanding about life, in general: Your organism is choosing what is good for you alone out of all that you experience. This is Nature's way of validating your unique experience, your unique person, and your unique meaning in life.

With the 12 Phases™ descriptions of this unique engine of autonomous motivation - what works for you, personally and privately - you can gain information about how your life moves naturally for your good. In the complex and often unrelated events, day by day, your organism is taking care of business for you - the 'business' of being one.

The only righteous authority is love.

You are knitted together to experience some unit of love, as it truly is. Perfect love is beyond this physical reality. In the finish of the twelve phases, you acquire a portion of the unattainable perfect love. This is an individual experience, and it is what gives meaning to your life.

I have done many formal and informal analyses of people's life histories by the twelve phases. I have mistakenly looked for them to understand the process, rather than take the opportunity to ask how each was affected by what they learned about their own lives. Only once did I ask for and receive official feedback about a man's experience with the Phases™ as applied to his life.

This is what he said:

James H:

I thought the process was pretty incredible… I didn't know how far and how deep this was going to go. The most interesting part was this last phase that we did, how everything (in his history) just lined up beautifully with everything that you mapped out. It helps me identify the past and the priorities I've had in my life and where my life can actually eventually lead to. To know that now I'm moving slowly into the transition preparation phase, honestly just gives me things to look forward to.

Recently Michael S remembers his impression:

I remembered it’s like a universal code that necessarily isn’t good or bad, but just is. I remember there was a power in giving authority to good however, and that the 12 phases code could bring Enlightenment to an individual, especially concerning the happenings of their life, at least looking back and not necessarily forward.

If I were to say what the typical reaction that I hear it would be this: "It's interesting. It makes sense. I don't understand the phases but it feels right."

My own reaction is being amazed that applying the phases meets each person's need for affirmation, no matter who the person is. Internally, you feel that you're doing the best you can, and that it's right for you. The phases confirm what you feel about your experiences, how your unique history defines what your life means to you.

Energy

The difference in energies: Deep fears can stir the mind toward duty and obligation. In contrast, at your core there is the life force that seeks good to be continually added to itself. That is your original inimitable spirit. Your spirit wants to be known truly.

Meanwhile, your conscious mind is led by a subconscious strategy made out of what is in circumstances, that is, the so-called ‘reality’. Reality - what you experience in the senses - cannot be relied upon for long. But you can trust your heart's mind; over time, its direction stays true to your DNA.

I remember when I first learned that change was constant— to be expected, not to be feared. If change is constant in life, you can’t know whats coming, so having the ability to move fluidly with change is a strength that will make you more effective in life. I saw that from a secure internal ’home base’, you can manage change without fear.

Even I don’t know what I will do, and it's okay.

Your heart’s mind finds the good in change and acquires what serves your growth. From infancy your personal development is unique, fitting you and equipping you to move with what life brings. The twelve phases life system is how Nature connects you with your inborn, developing person.

My December Good

Love took strange forms for me this month. The permanence of family, the feeling in some songs, thinking of my grandchildren and their futures… I felt a revival of my love for entrepreneurship, the vim and vigor in a group, and good memories shared with people. I have a new respect for ‘things’ that was not in me before. Giving gifts that carry my heart to those I love.

Personal growth came through an early morning wrestling: being truthful requires me to say only what my choices are, for my reasons. No more using the advantage of others to reason my choice for my advantage. I must let emotions rise and mix naturally with living.

Full relaxation connects me to reality and enables me to weather the storms, anchored with roots life has grown in me. The effect of matching the pace on the external topside detaches me from my natural pace. Returning to my natural state takes conscious effort but it connects me again to life's provision for me.

Knowing the twelve phases phenomenon as a natural force has convinced me that I can rely on it in my life. It is custom fit for humans, but more than that, it is Life supporting each person according to their nature. When it works for your personal good, it's a shock. Almost too good to be believed.

******** For your mind . . .

Perception (AI overview):

Perception works as your brain is actively interpreting and organizing sensory data (sights, sounds, smells) from the world, not just passively receiving it, using past experiences, expectations, and context to create meaningful, coherent understanding, a process involving bottom-up (sensory input) and top-down (brain's predictions) processing to build a personal "reality."

Perception is a dynamic construction where raw signals from life get turned into conscious awareness and recognition, allowing you to make sense of your environment and respond to it.

"What takes a minute to describe took two seconds to experience."

- From Enduring Love, a novel by Ian McEwan, near the end of Chapter 19.

The relevance of perception in the 12 Phases™:

- pertaining to the physiological processes of perception

- how the body responds, first and unconsciously, and how there become impressions on the mind from these perceptions.

- the individual nature of unconscious response, with specific meaning perceived by that person

- the placement of the Phases™ in the conscious process of self-awareness
